R.J. Vranes
- Director/Writer/Editor/DP R.J. is one of the co-owners of Sail Kat Productions. After completing his Executive Producer duties on the independent short Auguring Eternity, he has focused all his attention on The Telephone. Since acquiring the rights to the short story more than 10 years ago, R.J. has been waiting for the right time to finally complete the film. After a arduous series of re-writes and various setbacks, he felt the second half of 2002 was the perfect time to finally fulfill the dream of making this film. Along with his duties as Executive Producer, R.J. has also taken on the role of director, writer, editor, and director of photography for this "labor of love" as he calls it. R.J. already has his calendar full after work on The Telephone with a horror/comedy project tentatively titled The Budahman. Look for it in 2003. |

Robert
A. Vranes - Producer Robert is the co-owner of Sail Kat Productions. Robert was responsible for discovering the original story The Telephone through his connections with the author Mary Streblow. It was his persistence and dedication that finally got the story into the hands of R.J. Vranes. Robert will be serving as producer on the film. |

Mary Ann Streblow
- Original Story Writer Mary started writing short stories in the 4th grade, as well as told tales to classmates to entertain them. She continued this through her middle school years. While in Monroe Jr. High, then in college, she became involved in journalism with the schools' newspaper, as well as the Benson Sun Newspaper in Omaha. Once out of college, Mary resumed writing short stories, children's stories and novellettes. You can read some of her stores at FirstPrint.com. |
